I think I could get used to life the way it is now. Apart from the fact that I can feel my brain cells degenerating day by day, not that I had a lot to start with though hahaha.

So yesterday I caught New Moon after a Jap lunch at the Cathay. The show wasn't hard to understand at all (contrary to what Marie had told me earlier) even though I hadn't read the book before. Oh but my goodness, I somehow forced myself to read Twilight last week!! I'd sworn that I would never do it but I did, unfortunately ): I guess that's just another one of life's surprises - having a sudden change of heart, doing the inexplicable, even when the opp cost is pretty damn high. Anyway I just have one thing to ask about the show: Why does Taylor Lautner look so chubby onscreen?!

Headed to Daiso after to pick up a few items and then started to make our way back to the train station. As fate would have it, we ran into some dear old classmates of mine, namely Serena, Joel & Leech (he might as well be considered so), who invited me to join them for a pool session. And to which I agreed to. Anyway the idiotic shopkeeper totally insulted us, saying that we, I quote, "cannot play" & "cannot pay" and hence initially refused to let us use the bigger tables. What an ass right! We later planned to pay him using a $100 bill but that plan didn't really materialize in the end haha. But honestly, we weren't even THAT lousy, at least in comparison to the other people at big tables as well. All they did was to act like seasoned players - the only factor preventing them from playing the part was their dire lack of accuracy, which completely gave them away. Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly, this went unnoticed by the aforementioned imbecile.

Finally went back to the pool this morning for the first time in at least a month. Haha I think Mr Lee just realized that my siblings and I all go to the pool at different times and sometimes also by different modes of transportation. Like today, for example, my bro cycled, sis walked, and I got sent haha lame right? Needless to say, we all reached like 30 min apart of each other lol. Anyway felt sort of jaded and unmotivated at the beginning but it became progressively more fun cause we got to play a 3-on-3 game :D :D And then Tom came to help out as well so there were 4 of us playing against the 5 juniors. There were quite a number of counters and I must say I've never worked so hard in such a long time. Even so, it was so much fun!! Oh the guys' team also joined us for a while for a mixed game after their training so we played a full court game for a few minutes haha. The only thing that would've made the morning better would have to be a less sunny weather!

Heh have another lunch arrangement for tmr :) :) Judging by how my week has been so far, and neglecting that little run-in we had at the pool place, I'm sure I'll have rather pleasant days ahead :) This time last year, I was desperately willing the hands of the clock to move faster. Despite knowing then that the new year would only mark the start of the craziest year of my life, I couldn't wait to get to 2009. Just to see you. This year, time has been passing so much more rapidly with your absence. Which is a good thing, I think. But maybe I don't quite want this year to end that quickly, because everything has an expiry date. Except for perhaps the one thing that is starting to cease to exist between us. (This is illogical... but I'll settle for it.)

Hello there. A's are finally over!!! So last week, Chermz, Sal, Kat & I met at 1207 at the Somerset station for lunch. Those 3 idiots were praying that I would be late but thankfully I appeared from the platform at exactly 1207 (: (: I don't think I would've been able to live it down if I'd been late by a mere second, so phewww. Anyway we walked through the newly-opened 313 place and headed straight to Billy Bombers, or should I say "Billy Bompers" lol.

We sat there for about 3 hours and talked so much rubbish (as usual) but the blame is on Sal, the not-so-discrete elitist. Kat & I learnt about Chermz's cute grandfather ^_^ ^_^ They (Chermz + Sal) are both associated to weird people. Oh and since Sal revealed to us about the existence of this cute grandfather, I shall also expose (in Chermz's defense) Sal's secret to reusing prom dresses by wearing different shawls.

Kat: Oh shit I think I shouldn't eat so much, if not I won't be able to fit into my prom dress!
Sal: Me too! Mine is my Sec 4 dress!!!

Sorry Sal ^_^ Omg but there was this really super retarded incident that happened while I was in the process of ordering my side-dishes. The 3 very helpful people kept offering me suggestions ALL AT THE SAME TIME. So I thought I could pick anything from the list of:
1. Rice
2. Fries
3. Salad
4. Potato salad
5. Potato

But actually, it was just either potato salad or fries. Totally confused me ): So not my fault, you have to admit! And then they kept gawking at me for the next whole minute ):< Anyway Kat had to rush off after a while so Sal didn't get the chance to give Chermz her unlimited ice cream treat ): What a pity.

Had prom on Saturday night at the Swissotel. I thought the entertainment was quite boring, except for the dance part, cause everyone was just walking around and minding their own business anyway. Ughhh was so terribly tired by the time the whole event ended at 1130, I just wanted to flop onto the bed and sleep. But that would've been such an anti-climax to the night so we went back, changed into more comfortable footwear, then cabbed to Clarke Quay.

Had Turkish ice cream there again :D :D Then we just walked around the area for a bit before heading to a bar for a drink. Watched the Man City vs Chelsea game for a short while too. Ughhh got slightly woozy after 2 glasses (at least that's what I think) so Jw had to finish the rest of the bottle and he ended up being kind of high for the rest of the night. Also dropped by Macs for a bit of food cause we didn't really eat that much for dinner. Ran into some of the floorballers there too. Actually, there were just a lot of RJ kids around. Like everywhere.

Cabbed back after that and promptly fell asleep after a shower. But I swear I was gonna die trying to get rid of all the hairspray in my hair. I washed my hair 5 times with shampoo but there were still some traces of hardened hairspray left ): By then I was too tired and needed to crash sooo badly that I just went to bed haha. In case anyone thinks I'm being dirty & disgusting, let me say that the first thing I did when I woke up was to wash my hair again, so there! Mmm then we packed at noon and walked over to Marina Square for lunch at Sakae. Went home after that and watched tv for like, forever.

So today, I woke up at 830 and went back to sleep, only to get up at 11. At that time, I was supposed to have already reached Dhoby Ghaut, all ready to meet Kat & Lucas ):< Yeah so I rushed like mad and got there half an hour late ONLY (if you consider the time I got up)!!! Went to play pool (: (: That had to be my favourite game in 2008 haha. The company was really awesome, except that Kat decided to sit out of the last game and watch Lucas & I kill each other. Schadenfreude.

Mmm had lunch after that at Astons where Lucas gobbled down his food in a matter of seconds so he had to sit around for an extremely long time while Kat & I enjoyed our food slowly. Preparing for BMT, he said. After lunch, he had a horrible idea - let's go play lan! Okay fine, I admit, maybe I was a tad curious to find out about Left 4 Dead, but I can't believe I gave in to temptation (or curiosity) so easily! After a good 2 hours of staring at a stupid computer screen, I came out feeling completely drained of all energy. Never. Again. Shall. This. Happen.

Gonna watch New Moon tomorrow. If it sucks, I'll never listen to Marie's movie ravings again. Oh and maybe I'll watch Zombieland & The Informant, both highly recommended by the 3 very helpful people as mentioned at the start of this entry. Plus I just got a class email about some night cycling thing. Everyone, go for it okay?? Okay bye!

I was looking through my Econs stuff today and I remembered there was once I got Yongsheng to write down some notes for me.

"However, if the recession drags for too long, policy would be ineffective as govt pocket not so deep."

Okay, so maybe it's not that amusing. But I'm already half-mad now so pardon me. And I miss class so much! I'd rather be waking up at 7 every morning and going for no-break Thursdays than be having exams. Ughhh I'm driving myself insaneee, I swear. I desperately need someone to talk to but everyone's so busy ): Damn, I should be busy too.

Oh but I really really really can't wait for the hols!!! :D :D There's so much stuff I wanna do before next year comes. I should stop looking so far into the future & focus on the present (which isn't really a pretty sight considering how the one person whom I thought would be there to tide me through this is, well, basically non-existent in my life right now).

So... Prelims are finally over and it's time to catch up on some much-needed sleep. Anyway right after the last paper, I went straight home!!! Cause my mum said I had to if I wanted to go out for the night :( Okay so I went back, was a good kid - had lunch, watched Friends, read a book & slept for a while (ughhh why is my life so mundane, plus this is becoming increasingly diary-like by the minute which is definitely going to draw flak from some picky people).

Anyways caught The Time Traveler's Wife in town, ran into about a hundred other kids from school. The storyline was so awesomely nice and sweet (& sad) and the visual presentation was much more vivid than in the book, which I suppose is the case for most film adaptations. Oh and I thought it was much less confusing than the book cause it didn't jump to as many different time periods and it was somewhat simplified to make the connections between events more obvious. What I really wanted to say is, you should really watch this show, that is, if you haven't already.

Then met Sal, Chermz & Kat for our post-exam meal. Sheesh, Sal & Chermz were so adamant on proving to us that there was an entrance to the ION via the second level of the train station that we had to follow them up an escalator at the station. True to their words, there WAS an entrance (albeit a much smaller one as compared to the direct entrance from the station). Plus they are such <s>losers</s> winners. Upon stepping into the ION, we were met with yet another set of escalators, to which Sal responded by declaring that we take the escalators back down to the station level. But since they pointed to us along the way that "Mistri" was on a missing persons poster, I shall not comment further.

After that, some confused soul, by the name of Sal, led us around the basement in search of food. That was the biggest mistake of the night! Somehow this food-hunting in ION landed us at Wheelock so we didn't have much of a choice but to get out of Wheelock and wound up crossing the road to Lido. Then headed in the FEP direction... until we realized that wasn't going to lead to anywhere, hence promptly turned right back around and walked into Lido without a purpose in mind. So after a while of nothingness, we had to cross back the same road to Wheelock, back into the underpass, past the station... and the story goes on. I think we walked about 3km across 3 buildings!!!

Later on, we finally decided upon dining at Billy Bomber's where I made my own burger because I didn't like any of the menu creations. And then we proceeded to sit there for the next 3 and a half hours. If that was Survivor, we would've accomplished all 3 goals of Outwit, Outplay & Outlast. We broke our record set after CT2 at California Pizza Kitchen (: Anyway at the end of the dinner, we were all feeling really bloated cause they kept refilling our glasses and we unwittingly consumed about... 10(?) glasses of water each. After talking much nonsense about anything and everything, we headed home to bed. End of story. Bye!!

Sheesh I haven't blogged in such a long time! But I guess since I owe Kat one, here goes! Mmm the holidays went by really really quickly and ughhh I didn't really have a lot of fun :( Exams suck!!!

So during the hols, the class met up for a CIP activity at SILRA like we did last year. We made wantons this year! But it was so mega hard to make it look... edible, to say the least. I mean, some people (not mentioning who!) were trying to squeeze way too much meat into the small piece of wanton skin, which eventually resulted in the wanton having multiple layers of skin. Quite fail, I must say. Regardless, I don't think that really made a difference in the taste of the wantons because they all taste the same when cooked. But this year, I also talked (more) to the old folks (kind of) there (: I think it was because I was too busy making & eating the pizzas last year. Anyway, Claire managed to get Shiyang & I to accompany her to talk to some of the elderly. Then halfway through a conversation with this guy, we realized that there was a lonely lady sitting a couple of seats away. She was sort of eating I think, so I didn't know if she wanted to talk :(

Nonetheless, I went over to talk to her!!! But it was soooo horrible at first. Shiyang & Claire kept laughing!!! ):< Though I wouldn't exactly blame them seeing as how dumb the conversation started:
Me: Hi! 你会不会讲英语?
The old lady：不会.
Me: Oh :( :( 那你会不会讲华语?
TOL：不会.
Me：HUH??? 可是你刚刚不是讲华语?

I swear I was so bewildered and the two lousy people (Claire & Shiyang) were gonna die from amusement I think :( Ughhh but the conversation went well in the end cause I found out a lot about her :) Go me!! And then when Shiyang came over after Claire & the first guy left, he got tricked by my person who used my trick on him. Cause Shiyang tried to pretend that he couldn't speak in Chinese when he already did once he sat down. Okay, it probably doesn't make sense here... but it does in my head. Oh and I was quite bummed out that we didn't get to take the elderly out for a walk due to the H1N1 situation :(

Then it was the last week of the hols where I think I went back to school every day and studied with Kat, Kevin, Jw, Sal, etc. At least that made studying less painful. Especially the last Sat! Where I think I was most productive. Heck, I probably did more in that one day than I did in the entire hols! Then there were the CTs, which aren't really worth much mentioning.

Mmm right after the Physics paper, the class went for lunch at AMK Hub. Okay, not the whole class but people like Yongsheng, Chenxuan, Serena, Yande, Qiwei, Jiwei, Tan Joel, etc. Leech joined us too! Ate at the teppanyaki place at the food court which was not bad (: For once Cx made a good (& cheap) recommendation haha. And then the guys somehow convinced me to go LAN-ing with them. Like, what the... I know!! But anyway I just played cause it'd be so loser to sit in the computer shop and do nothing. Serena left for a while for a haircut :( So being the only girl and noob at the game, everyone naturally ganged up against me for Counterstrike ):< Okay, not everyone. But about 3 others named their characters "mel" and Cx's was "im gonna kill mel"!!! Damn evil :( Anyway Leech was quite a good teacher so I didn't die as much in the later part :D Had dinner after with Jw after that :) :)

The day after CTs, I went out with Sal, Chermz & Kat!! :) We met at exactly 12, then had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. The food was quite good and we sat in that place for at least 2 hours. Loser Sal was complaining about how little space she had because she claimed that Chermz was taking up too much space on the sofa. But I secretly think that (okay, not so secret anymore then) Sal was just too afraid of Chermz. Probably too traumatised from the time she got cornered in the toilet hahaha. Too bad I wasn't there to see it, but I'm quite sure it will happen again someday :D Mmm then after seeing countless other customers come and go, we decided to make a move out of the restaurant. But I suppose it was mostly due to the fact that we were freezing in that shop.

Proceeded to walk aimlessly down the entire stretch of town. We must've walked for about 3 hours or so, only to stop for drinks at 7eleven and ice cream at B&J's. I was so gonna dieee. We were actually walking at a pretty decent pace at first, but once we got to around PS where we got our drinks, our walking speed decreased. Exponentially, might I add. It was that tiring. Oh and also because at some point, Chermz had to carry two Big Gulps in the side-pockets of her bag. She looked like some energy freak who needed 2 liters of sugared water to stay alive. And then as we were prepared to run through a flashing green man near Raffles City, something retarded happened. Courtesy of Sal:

At a junction, the green man was blinking so we were ready to make a dash for it.
chermz "STOP! I cannot."
kat "oh yah the drink."
-light turns red-
chermz "okay NOW! GO!"

And then we really ran for our lives. Insane people. Chermz later met her friend (or should I say, "friend", seeing as she forgot how the friend looked like) to hand over some books, after which rendering her bag useless because she ended up carrying an empty bag around. So after circling Raffles City for eternity, we finally left our "home" (so says Sal the elitist). Initially planned on walking to Raffles Place, another one of our numerous homes, but we decided that we had enough of walking. Some day out. More like an entire afternoon of exercise to burn off the pizzas!

Then I caught the train to Newton with Chermz to head over to CCAB for some combined schools' game against the Sri Lankans. I got smacked about twice in the face by the center-forward's super high back shot ):< But I guess seeing as we hadn't had any team training before, we weren't too bad. We won :D

The following Monday was a Youth Day holiday so the class went out to Sentosa!! :) I was just 10 min late. And I have to say, the Circle Line makes traveling to Harbourfront much more convenient :) Mmm waited for about 10 min for the rest before we went for breakfast at the hawker center across the road. There was Ys, Serena, Arjun, Weiliang, Jiwei, Qiwei, Tan Joel, Bryan, Xiaoxiao & I at first. Cx & Lionel joined us shortly after straight at the beach.

Anyway we played soccer at first! It was super tiring but I scored a penalty against Arjun haha :D But Cx came later and evened the score :( I guess beach soccer isn't that bad after all, just that the guys are way too violent for my liking. Ys got his wound exposed 5 min into the game and Tan Joel got sand into his eye during a dog-fight in the sand. He sucks at putting on contact lenses!! Arjun, Serena & I all tried to help him but to no avail haha. He was insisting that he could only do it in his toilet with a mirror. What a nubby! Most of the guys then went into the water later to swim. Wait, not swim. Float around, more like. So Xiaoxiao & I stayed on land to play some ball games with Yande, Bryan & Jiwei. Had a lot of fun :D

In the late afternoon we finally left Sentosa to eat at Pastamania. Some apple crumble looked like a miniature pizza ):< So I owe Ys a drink ):< Took the train home with Cx after that. He blasted my ipod volume cause I was ignoring him. What an annoying kid!!! Then I slept for a while at home before I got sent for training.

Mmm back to school now anyway, which totally sucks!! I can't wait for this year to be over ):< Oh and Shiyang is finally back in class from TSD. Now we can go back to waving at the cooler F4 of 6K haha.

The hols are finally here!!! :D So to mark the start of the hols, I had dinner out last Friday! Okay, kind of cheap thrill but I caught a lift to the East from Chengjing after training - who knew the East was THAT insanely far from CCAB! Mmm then ate at the food center with my favourite person, no less :) We got so super drunk (not in the literal sense) it was nutsss.

Went over to the chalet after and I think training gave me too much of an adrenalin rush, much to the dismay of the rest. At 5am they were all practically dead fishes lying around while I was somehow still super energetic and felt so sad when they ignored my pleads to play more card games. I think I scare myself sometimes haha. Mmm got up 4 hours later for breakfast which was... junk food. Played cards again before we went to the bowling alley where I entertained myself trying to dissolve Milo powder in cold water. And it doesn't work :(

Headed home in the early afternoon to sleep, then went to watch RProject with my mum. Hah my brother was quite funny :D After that, went to Robertson Walk for dinner. Had some pizzaish thing which was pretty good :) Then we stayed a bit longer to catch the FA Cup final before my brother decided he was tired and had to get up early the next day.

So I've kind of started studying for CT2 but my progress is really dismal :( Ughhh so annoying. h8 studying forever! Oh but the Marymount station has opened!! So I now can walk through an air-conditioned passageway to school without going past the dreaded bird-infested park :D But I'll probably have to get up earlier cause it's a detour. Still, air conditioning!!!

Anyways Leeqi's back! A couple of us are gonna crash her place ala post-higher chinese O's/end of last year. Just hope we don't overdo it by boxing for more than 3 hours! Oh and while we're talking about breaks and entertainment and the like, I wanna watch Hannah Montana too! :D And 17 Again is one of the best ever movies so everyone should totally watch it!!!

Mmm next week is gonna be so super busy again. Especially since I've got the annoying waterfest-tee coming up. Have to go down to the pool someday for a dry run and redo the lousy dodgeball>:(

On a more random note, I think that I'm eating too much sugary stuff. So if you see doing so me please make me stop! (jw made me put this line in!)

On an even more random note, my sis is coming back home soon. Unfortunately, this mean that I have to move all my stuff out of her numerous territories. Ugh so super annoying:( I guess this just means that I have less time to study:) Hope she brings back cool new stuff for me! (but i doubt it since shes so thrifty :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( )

:( :( :( since im so super sad now im gonna sleep just hope that i blog within the next month!
kthxbye :)

ps. there you go alinaa!

a day (and night) to remember <3!

hi everyone! its been almost another month since i've last blogged and nothing much has changed so far. still really behind on all my homework :( and swimming nationals are just around the corner. life really sucks. i think the only good thing thats happened these past few days is the national schools waterpolo competition. and now that thats over, things seem to just become crappier.

anyway, i think i shall just talk about the good stuff for today haha. monday was cool. we had our finals against sajc and although they played well, we were able to beat them by 2 goals to win the championship :)) despite all the bruises, scratches, and nonsense, im really proud of my team! and many thanks to the supporters who came down despite it being a super hot day (i think i got darker >:( ) and also to the guys who came down on saturday (to help us) and made our training more interesting for once:D

after our game and celebrations, the team changed and went to watch the guy's finals. totally different standard, i must say, but just as exciting as our match nonetheless:) and i was sitting in the middle next to james and isaac who were both talking a lot of nonsense about the most random people. eventually we got chased away by some nubby table guy who said that we had to make space:( but who cares cause the guys won 8-5 in the end so double champs yay! hah.

after that, there was prize presentation. sophie and mel were being super annoying, trying to throw everyone into the pool although we'd already bathed. and they took my phone to make it easier and even chased me around the pool! :( but the quick me managed to avoid falling in and even managed to escape getting wet by some of the guys:D both teams then decided to go for a combined team dinner (for the first time!) and after a long deliberated session, we decided to head over to somerset for sushi buffet at sakura.

as usual, the guys were super noisy at the restaurant playing pranks on one another and just being guys. while they were at it, jw and i attacked the sushi and sashimi such that the plates were constantly empty. haha i think i mostly ate jap that night. so can survive on japanese food forever:D the food wasn't that great, although the company was the bestest! took some photos with the team before slowly heading home for a well deserved rest.

too bad days like this only happen like once in forever:(

anyway, ora/rafflesfest tomorrow morning! hope the cookies the guys are baking arent poisonous or anything!

<3 mel & jw!

This is so weird. The last time I blogged was close to 2 months ago right after my birthday. There were so many significant events which happened between then and now, but I guess I never really got the time nor motivation to type it all out in coherent posts.

Anyway, CTs are over and I've got to admit, I only felt a temporary sense of relief. I mean, on Monday, it's back to class again. Not like we're actually gonna get a real break so I have only about 2 days of celebration left. Spent post-CTs having a meeting with the other capts (Tzekang, Chermz, Chenxuan) and we had lunch which was quite an eventful affair. I swear they have zero appreciation for jokes!!! But we talked so much & ended up sitting at Fish & Co for 2 hours. Such lunches are the best but they're so rare because we hardly get these chances to meet up at lengths. They might actually be the highlights of my term!

Checked out Marina Barrage with Jw after, which does have quite a scenic view of... the sea & the Flyer. But can I say, we went at the wrong time when the weather was blazing hot and I was basically melting in the heat. So we spent like 10 min there and then took off. Walked around Marina in the hope of catching Confessions of a Shopaholic but the timings weren't good so we ended up having afternoon tea. Mmm then I headed off for training after a good 1 and a half weeks away from the pool.

So like season starts in less than a week, we are totally unprepared, though I must say I'm very prepared to screw my schoolwork. Technically my season lasts throughout April so I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna make it through the term without any major scathes. Maybe with a bit of luck, maybe with a bit of optimism.

But right now I'm gonna enjoy the weekend (or perhaps extend it to the entire week because of Friendship Icecream Day with Kat & friend) sleeping, training, slacking and having supper with Shaun :) So I'll live the next 2 days in oblivion to everything around me. But it'll be a good thing, I think.

On a side note, I can't figure out why things keep going awry. It's seriously like some roller coaster ride - unpredictable and scary at times. Ughhh I really don't know what's gonna come out of this ): Maybe all we need is just a break. Or a silver lining to convince us that going through all of this will be worthwhile.

It's just been a week into school and can I say, it really sucks to sleep after 1 every day ): But I'm hoping once things settle down, everything will just start falling into their own places without me having to face the dilemma of choosing this over that. And I realized that in the process of doing things just to please others, I start to lose sight of what I really want for myself ): I remember at Civics class a few days ago, a couple of us resolved to "play hard, train hard & study hard" for the year, and to not lose focus (but how do you lose it if you never had it in the first place?).

Mmm so Open House on Wed where I had like swimming booth, polo booth, training & Befrienders' to handle at the same time. It was pretty fun hanging out with Kwat most of the time and I think I was eating half of the time haha. Anyway the juniors looked like complete strangers to us cause we hadn't even seen more than 3 quarters of them before. But it didn't turn out to be such a bad day, though I think the highlight of the day for Kat would have to be the part where she got a handful of pens from the leftover goodie bags haha. In the end, they dumped all the tons of leftover pens to the Befrienders' (:

After that, waited for Jenwei to finish his P&C tutorial (which I later found out was just a ploy to stall for time!) before we left for dinner at Holland V. Then I had to walk for the longest time, again to stall for time, before getting to the restaurant. Got the hugest (and one of the most awesome) surprise when I got to the place and saw Chelsia, Chenxuan & Yongsheng :D Alina came over after her touch rugby game too (: It was really one of the best surprises ever and I wouldn't have wanted to spend the eve of my birthday any other way. And I'm really touched that they came despite it being a school night & after we'd all had a long day in school (: Oh and I got an ice cream cake so yay! Thanks so much, friends! You guys are the best :D

So on my actual birthday on Thurs, the class gave me the sweetest thing ever in the form of a photo album, in which everyone wrote a message to me on the back of their individual photos. It totally made my day :D My class is too awesome! But anyways we had the worst timetable ever for that day - 6 consecutive blocks till 1+ in the afternoon. So by the time school was over, I was famished and was looking forward to having lunch from the Malay food stall when to my dismay, they didn't have any food left ):< I suspect it's the J1s who snapped up all the food so for now, they are the most annoying group of people in school. Okay, I kid.

Stayed back in school to finish two-thirds of my GP essay in the library. What a sad way to spend my birthday huh. Anyway I was feeling all pleased and satisfied with myself cause it meant that I'd get the rest of the next GP block to complete just a third of my essay. And then here's the part where I get sooo annoyed at no one in particular but at the fact that there wasn't even a GP block on Friday. In other words, we had ONE night to complete the essay at home ): Anyways went home to sleep for a bit before we went to Chijmes for dinner :D

Today was a relatively quick day although there were several sucky moments, but is okay cause I'm over them (: Mmm had lunch out then back to school to study in our homeroom which was surprisingly air-conditioned! Ughhh I took ages to do the Math tutorial and it certainly didn't help that the guys were playing some game which I was so tempted to join in ): But I guess it's a start! Ys completely failed at doing his essay though haha.

Double training tomorrow and then more dates with my homework ): I can't believe how horrible being in J2 is ):<

First day of school today and it sucked quite a lot so the rest of the year is gonna really really suck ): I can't believe we're already in J2! Ughh and there were proper lessons even. Life just keeps getting tougher ):<

Got sent to school cause it's the first day of school so I had time to go to the lockers to dump all the stuff from polo. Morning assembly was just so-so, we're still sitting at the back so I was talking to Chels, Lionel & Serena (who had a really creative way of labeling her planner haha). Then it was class breakfast which wasn't that appetizing so I got my own food from The Canteen. Ohhh and Wanqi's classmate from China gave me duck neck! Surprisingly it wasn't too bad, but I think it's mainly because it was smoked.

Then it was Physics lecture and the only introduction we had was in the form of a lame joke which I didn't catch because I was busy beautifying my timetable. But had a break after, during which we received some entertainment from Brandon so it was kinda fun in the eye-rolling kind of way. No one was mugging too!! Chem lecture after (I am totally lost already omg) and then we had double Civics :D Oooh and we had so much fun eating the jelly beans I bought from Japan. Jamie's expression was priceless when she bit into her rotten egg-flavoured jelly bean. Apparently it felt like she was "eating trash" hahaha. Shiyang was lucky enough to get all the good flavours ): I had like, vomit & skunk spray which were so painfully awful. Chels had skunk spray as well but it was sooo much fun anyway!

After school, had to look for teachers and call up the DSAs who all did pretty well. And I had to prick the lousy blood bubble in my thumb because some supposedly wise people said so. But it's gone now anyway so yay! Stayed till like training and went to the pool feeling like crap so I stopped by Macs to get a pack of large twister fries :D Which I kind of finished all by myself but that was only because there was no one at the pool yet and school food sucks. Had dinner out after training so got home pretty late and now I have Open House stuff to do. And figure out what's going on in Chem though I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna accomplish this tonight (and perhaps in the nights to come as well).

I just had the most fulfilling first week of the year :D On Wed, a few of us went over to Leeqi's to hang out like the good old Sec 4 times. So it was exactly like post-Higher Chinese O-levels where we crashed her place to play on the Xbox (and we all got home so late, Sal's parents thought she was so depressed with the paper that she decided to roam the streets). Just that this time we played Wii for 4 straight crazy hours. And the stupidest thing was that our arms started to ache midway but we still continued to play boxing and some street fighterish game. Oh and can I say, we arranged to meet at Parkway first for lunch so I was totally expecting to eat in a proper restaurant. But no, apparently Sal & Leeqi had different ideas - they wanted to eat at the hawker center ):<

On Thurs, we started training really early in the morning (could barely wake up so I can't even imagine what will happen tomorrow when school starts). And then some of us stayed till super late so we trained even more than the guys! But obviously they trained much harder than we did haha.

Had a swim meeting on Friday morning and everyone from the EXCO turned up :D We are gonna have sooo much fun planning swim camp cause we are really creative people (kind of okay) haha. Oh and we received some really saddening news ): Somehow all the really awesome teachers never get to stay for long. Mmm then after that, met my mum for lunch before I went home to sleep for 30 minutes. Had to go off for banner painting after that and we managed to finish painting all 3 banners which looked really great at the end :D But at the expense of my fingernails ):

Had to get up extra early on Saturday for Befrienders' then went over for training. I got darker! That's like what Sophie & I aim to achieve every training haha. Then had lunch before meeting Ms Soh for a super duper long talk about everything that's killing me. Okay, actually it was just CCA stuff but James was pretty amused by our "heart-to-heart" talk hahaha. Walked home after (because I couldn't unlock my brother's bike ):< )before getting sent to the pool with Shauna & my sis. Had another meeting for the carnival and then trained again.

This morning, we were dropped off at the pool early to set up for the carnival. Did some manual labour and I hurt my thumb with the lockers ): Anyways we went across the road for lunch, then came back and the carnival started! Mmm the team played really really well though there's definitely still much room for improvement. But is okay, we have another 4 months to sort everything out. Oh and thanks so much too to the J3s who came to play for us :D We really stand a good chance at Nationals this year (: Anyway today was such a blast with all the polo people, I'm pretty satisfied with how I spent the last day of my hols :D

School starts tomorrow and I have no idea what classes we have on so I think I'll just assume I don't have to bring anything haha. Ughh anyway I still have tons of stuff to do for swimming & polo and it still feels like the hols, especially after today's carnival. School sucks ): ):

So I'm back from the land of awesome lavatories (aka Japan) & it's the start of a new year! The trip was really really fun cause I got to ski & eat tons of awesome food (which honestly made us broke) & buy loads of rubbish & see the most amazing things (: The worst part had to be the walking though - in the last 18 days, I'd probably walked more than I've ever walked in my entire lifetime put together. Oh and I can totally read maps & navigate around the backstreets so whoever said women can't read maps certainly didn't know me! Anyways I'm not gonna recount my entire trip here because there's really so much I did and I'm pretty sure the memories will be embedded somewhere at the back of my head for a long while :D (In other words, too lazy to type everything out.)

Coming back has made me realize that there are only 10 days left of the hols!! Good times really pass too quickly ): I can't say I got to fully enjoy the Dec holidays cause there's still so much stuff I wanna do but haven't really gotten round to doing them. Plus I am so completely unprepared for the new school year. It doesn't even feel like a new year - more like just another term/semester. I used to get all excited for the first day of school, but now I really wish we could just replay 2008 (or just fast forward to 2010) and never start on 2009. This year is going to be jam packed with the unexpected ): ): Ughh am so not looking forward to school.

Yesterday, the junior girls met up after lunch for some fun at the pool before we changed out and had a meeting with the entire team about next week's carnival. Mmm so the day before school starts, I'll be doing manual labour by the pool & in the pool. I can't wait for the event though, it'll be heaps fun (but super duper exhausting)! Anyway the meeting took us all the way through to dinner but it wasn't that bad since we were snacking for more than half the time haha. Got home after dinner and promptly fell asleep at 9 (it's the jet-lag, really).

Will be having a barbecue later in the afternoon with the Sec 4 class so yay! And Leeqi's back so I suspect we'll have lots of catching up to do (: Wish we had a chalet like the year before though, but that's probably too hard to coordinate so oh well. Off to enjoy what's left of the hols. Toodles!

Mmm so I just had (effectively) the last week of my holidays. Gonna be away from Monday till like, next year. We're having a white Christmas! And it'll be so awesome if I ran into Kat or Athena or whoever else's in Japan (:

Anyways this week, the cousins stayed over and then us kids all went out for a meal in town :D Didn't join them for Madagascar though, cause I'd already watched it and people hate me for rewatching shows anyway. Had to do so much trip-related stuff for my mum as well ):< And then there was this day I had to make a trip down to the East to return everyone their stuff because it's not nice to carry over so-called debts into the new year (or so says my mum). But darn, I still have Yujie's French books cause I didn't get his reply in time ): Then again, I think I've had them since more than a year ago oops.

Yesterday, had breakfast with Lihuang, Marie & Yilin after not seeing them since... forever. A fifth of the time was spent eating, another fifth spent catching up on each other's lives, and the remaining three-fifths spent listening to Marie ramble on about her disastrous 4-day trip to Phuket (which also explains why we were late for the movie). Anyhow it was still pretty fun & I can't believe we only managed to meet up twice this entire year. Sucks to all be in different schools (and half of us not even training anymore haha).

And today, I single-handedly (kind of) packed all our ski stuff into a huge luggage cause everyone else went out (: Ughhh but have not started packing my own luggage and we leave in a day. Probably still have to train tmr for the last time this year so that I can pass my book to Angeline. Might also see Shaun though, so we'll see what happens next :D On a completely random note, I hate drilling forever. Why the neighbours have to do it on a weekend when I'm home, I really don't understand. Till New Year's then!

The holidays have been going by way too quickly ): Apart from going out lots & spending lots of money & having lots of fun, nothing much's been up :D Mmm but what was really fun was the J2 farewell like, nearly 2 weeks ago. Anywayz much of the EXCO met up for two entire days leading up to the farewell just to prepare the gifts. We totally died from the sewing/stitching and the burning of iron-ons. Some even ended up pricking themselves, so blood was lost in the process of making the gifts!!! And here, I should thank Chenxuan & Tzekang for their generous hospitality by providing us with lifts to various locations and an awesome environment to work in (complete with air-conditioning, lunch and afternoon tea). Oh and surprisingly the guys picked up sewing really quickly :D So despite all the guys being mean and ganging up on me the day Chermz wasn't around, I still had a lot of fun, what with all the production line nonsense. By the way, they said I was the rate-determining step (meaning the slow step in Chem terms). How mean are they!

On Tues, we had a small class breakfast :D I can't believe Lionel wanted to meet at 845 but ended up not going! Nevertheless, phone-less me still managed to make it on time and find Tan Joel & Weiliang wandering around aimlessly. And then somehow got convinced by Joel the birthday boy to have breakfast at the kaya toast place even though I hate kaya to the max. Oh well, give the birthday boy what he wants. Mmm then everyone else (Arjun, Serena, Yande, etc) arrived and complained about the nubby's breakfast choice :D But we still ate there anyhow, and then relocated to Macs cause it was bigger. And then Swensen's finally opened! So Serena & I escaped to get a surprise ice cream cake for Joel :D The guys made me eat all the cake cream for them just cause I said I liked it ):< I think I like the ice cream part just as much, but they didn't ask me to eat that part! Anywayz it was a pretty successful surprise with 17 candles and all (:

So anyway I have like slightly more than a week left in Singapore before I leave and I just realized how much stuff I have left to do! And the fact that I'm only gonna be back next year makes it all the more vital that I do whatever/meet whoever I need to now (or really really soon). The holidays just pass too quickly ):< I can't ever understand how others can get bored of the holidays. Breakfast tmr with my favourite boy before he leaves and then it's 2009 (:

Oh gosh, this week was so super tiring but really really fun still :D The start of the week was kinda crappy but I'm so glad we're more or less past it now so all's cool (: And thanks Kwatz (& Js), for all your help and agreeing to have ice cream together although I didn't make it in the end sighz.

Had Befrienders' meeting on Wednesday morning with Chelsia, Chenxuan & Yongsheng. We are too cool to all be in Befrienders' together :D So after the briefing, we headed out for lunch (and also, originally, Escape) with Kat joining us. Oh and on the way to lunch in town, the girls decided to stop by Cotton On to browse through the clothes (but mainly to annoy the guys). We totally failed, though. The guys ended up shopping too and took even longer than us to pick their stuff out! They are too vain ):< Anyway we finally had lunch like 2 hours later and I finally got some much needed rest. Also, we managed to get good window seats :D The rest probably thought I was mad being so picky about where we sat.

After lunch, we went to the arcade to play my favourite game... air hockey!! Well the rest played other games as well, like arcade basketball and Time Crisis, but nothing beats air hockey, seriously. Poor Cx didn't play anything at all (but I'm sure he had some other form of entertainment on his phone while we were all busy playing lol). And one of the best parts about air hockey would be watching others self-jack haha --> especially applies to Ys. Mmm then we went over to play pool for a couple of hours and Kat left. Okay this is the part where I want to kill Chels cause she started freaking out about the rides at Escape and didn't wanna go there anymore so my attempt the previous night, to fully convince her that the rides weren't really that scary, was futile.

And so due to the change of plan, we decided to catch Quantum of Solace, which totally sucked, by the way. Chels & I both fell asleep once the popcorn ran out but I think Cx was captivated by every scene. Ys was too nonchalant to even care haha. And then this is the part where I feel like kicking myself for having had too much salted popcorn cause I totally forgot about the bad cut in my mouth from training. Needless to say, it made my cut like 100 times worse so I have now been resigned to applying oral gel every 3 hours. Sooo not funny. BUT Chels & I both went home with a HSM plastic cup each, which totally beats the guys' sad disposable paper cups (: Had dinner after, then we had to walk to Borders in the drizzle but it was still quite a nice weather (: Finally went home after all of us were too tired to walk anymore. So despite not being able to escape to Escape, my day was nevertheless pretty fun-filled :D

Woke up early on Thursday morning to work on a crappy Econs essay assignment ): It'd completely slipped my mind that we even had one due till the previous night. Definitely didn't help that the question was super duper hard as well ): Finished it just after lunch so I walked over to school and was gonna go to the staff room when I realized that I was wearing slippers ): So had to look up Arjun to help me hand it in and he took the liberty to read & comment on my substandard essay ):< Heh our class is so gonna get screwed by the Econs tutor next year. I think like only a third of us handed it in on time, which can only mean that all her past few lectures have been in vain.

Caught Madagascar 2 on Friday with Jenwei :D Was a pretty funny show and can win Quantum of Solace hands down, any day, any time. But HSM is still the best! Dropped by Holland Village to get the best cheese buns ever (now I know where my sis gets hers from!) before going over to Borders. Then had to head straight off to training ): Went to the airport right after so the starving kids ended up having to eat cheese buns on the way there :D Had dinner past 1030 and all the good Chinese & Japanese restaurants were closed by then ):

Mmm had brunch on Saturday with Jw and we were eating as slowly as possible with the hope of catching someone at S11, but it didn't really work. Had Yami yogurt & bubble tea before walking back to school and met the Sec 4s who are evil beyond words ):< Anywayz got picked up from school when my brother got dropped off. Watched Gossip Girl at home before having to pick my brother up again and got dragged out to the library ):

So this afternoon, I went over to Cx's to get a lift to East Coast for our swim meeting :D Met Chermz & Tzekang there and then we sat in Macs to have a long discussion but we were totally productive today (: Rented bikes and then set off on our mission to find the perfect spot for the farewell. Omg and the most... amazing thing happened today twice! This small kid kinda fell flat on his face when his bike flipped and he laid there stationarily for what seemed like eons. Chermz: I thought he was dying. And then the second time, this bike right in front of us flipped over and Chermz & I almost ran over it (and its rider). But we stopped and offered to help the casualty. Okay, fine, she escaped with nary a scratch, but it's the thought that counts!

After riding for super long and with aching butts, we finally returned the bikes and figured that we were indirectly cheated by the "pay for one hour but you can have the next hour free" thing. It's like paying for 10 hours and then saying pay for one hour and have the next 9 free. Anywayz the rest left after a while so I got myself some food from Macs and waited for Jw. Cycling takes out too much energy ): But I guess the fact that we were both so tired didn't really matter cause we walked really really far again. And I was so getting killed ):< On the way home, ran into Joy and stopped by town to get some stuff and pick up dinner. Managed to get home before everyone else :D

I can't believe tomorrow marks the third week of the hols ): Feels like it's just starting and I wanna watch HSM3 again :D Can I, please?

The holiday mood is really getting to me ):< Was talking to Tzekang last night about setting deadlines for Sunday, only to realize 10 min later that Sunday would be... today. And I can't seem to get started on ANY schoolwork ): Well first, my table and shelves have been in a complete mess for a few days now ever since my attempt to revamp everything. Second, I've been out of the house way too much and by the time I get home, I'd probably be too tired to do anything (but surprisingly not too tired to go on MSN). And lastly, this might be the most ridiculous-sounding excuse of all but, I don't know where to even start! So many subjects, so many choices, which one to pick? Which reminds me, we have a lousy Econs essay due this Thurs.

Mmm went along with my mum to my brother's Grad Ceremony on Fri since I was going to school in the afternoon anyway. No offence, but it was sooo long and boring! Apart from the video thing, everything was relatively unmemorable. Maybe they were trying to make it memorable by making it unmemorable? Okay, I kid, it wasn't that bad... the reception food was good! Anyway went over to Holland for lunch with Jenwei, then we had dessert and conferred about the filling of Crunchie.

Spent Saturday afternoon at the SILRA Home which went much better than expected :D The old folks were really friendly and could speak English & Chinese! But didn't really find much to talk to them about, unlike Chelsia who became instantaneous best friends with many of them (: They were super polite when I served them food though. We made pizza :D There was this super funny person who wanted strictly only pineapples and cheese on her pizza. Quite cool (: Then since we had leftovers (and we had to finish them before Arjun came lol), we made our own personalized pizzas :D Cheap thrill, I know. Oh and luckily Chels & I didn't kill each other during the wheelchair course. Lionel almost died while seated in the wheelchair handled by Jiwei - his expression was priceless haha. All in all, it was a pretty fun & meaningful experience. But I must say, it was super exhausting to entertain them while standing around for so many hours.

Anywayz today's Sunday = rest day! So that's exactly what I'm gonna do now :D Urgh the coming week will be so tiring. Why am I even in Befrienders'?? On a separate note, I can't believe how many time I'll be going to the East this month. And Kat --> still not gonna step into Bedok.

HI CHANTAL :D

School's out and PW's just ended (okay, I lie, it actually finished last week). So just when I was thinking I'd never have to step into school for the next 2 months, I realized the amount of crap I still have to do in school during the hols ): Anyhow on to brighter things...

Spent the weekend being reacquainted with the crappy beaches of Singapore. Went to Bedok to get some food first and I've decided that it's one of the most unsafe neighbourhoods ever (Kat, I hope you are reading this)! There was this snatch-thief right in middle of the centralish town area, or whatever you call it. I almost fainted from the shock. Okay, not really, but close enough.

Mmm had a nice dinner by the lagoon with Jenwei and then we walked and walked and walked. Must've walked for like, a hundred miles because I really felt like collapsing and dropping dead after everything, no joke. Headed over to the class chalet after and all the guys were watching soccer. Liverpool lost so Joel went to sleep super early haha. And then they played Balls of Fury on the TV, which was so nonsensical that I fell asleep within 5 minutes from the start of the show.

Woke up around 8 but no one wanted to have breakfast out with me ): They were all busy sleeping or walking around the compound. So anywayz I ended up having snacks for breakfast while waiting for the rest to get up, which wasn't really that late, just that we hung around for a long time playing bridge. And I won Arjun at pillow fight :D Andrea joined us at the chalet early and then we went bowling! Or rather, they went bowling, while I ate even more at the bowling alley. Then Baorong left with Xiaoxiao so had to take over his bowling game and can I say, I really really suck at it ):

But we later went over to the adjourning arcade and played my favourite game of all-time - air hockey! I think I played it like 10 times and each game cost $2. So gonna get myself an air hockey table in the future :D Mmm played foosball as well while some of the other guys played pool.

Went over to the park again after, and believe it or not, I really went into the crappy waters at the beach. Never thought I'd get out of there alive because who knows what really lies beneath that murky water surface? Okay so then we got some food before taking the arduous long walk to the train station.

Had to go back to school for econs today :( but managed to go to CatHigh to (surprise) visit Yong Sheng who was working at the book shop there. Unfortunately he surprised us instead when we were walking around like lost sheep looking for the place. Bought a 30cent ping pong ball! and got a free plastic bag:DD played some ball while we were there but somehow broke my slippers:( think i'm gonna need a new pair after today:D

even so walked back to school in the broken slippers to watch friends...

Okay too lazy to do any more recounting (refer to the above paragraph not written by me but still 100% true anyway). On a separate note, I caught HSM3 again!! Though Chels & Cx were totally dissing me about it on the way to lunch ):

Mmm so now that the exam results are out and school's about to end, it's time to have (more) fun! And... I got promoted! Didn't do so well for some subjects but improved for most so... yay? Not to forget, my name even appeared on the top 20 most improved list for Chem hahaha. What a joke, I swear. People were even pulling me aside to ask about it lol.

So anyway last Friday was really fun (: Lunched with Jenwei at the place across Serene Center where we were shortly joined by Kat & Jinsei after their trip to Island Creamery. Then headed back to the Hodge Lodge to hang out before training. Tried playing Chinese chess (though we didn't really finish it) and Uno Stacko but it got too boring after a while. Alina tried to make us play Dominos but I think I'd rather sleep. Then everyone left for their respective trainings so I looked up Yinfei who's going to Shanghai next month to watch her beloved Rafael Nadal play - cue to roll eyes.

Soon after she left, I decided to join the BBHH house party which was kinda dead at first until all the fun games (like Dodgeball) started. Anywayz Chels & I started playing Taboo before others came to join us so we eventually formed this group (Chermz, Wenjian, Yuzhou, KevinQ + a lot of passers-by) and played Taboo for more than an hour. Pretty enjoyable though :D Unfortunately had to leave early for training and I didn't even get to have any food ): Nonetheless it was all good fun (:

After training, had dinner out before my family went out for a late movie :D Caught Max Payne which wasn't too good but definitely better than Burn After Reading & Disaster Movie. I thought it was kind of ridiculous at some parts and it was too much like a fantasy show. Mmm met my sis & her friends in town before heading home at 2+. Oh and my sis has finally gotten her driving license so she's been driving us around a lot lately. But we practically move at a snail's pace and take double the amount of time to get home.

Had PTM in school yesterday and I swear while I'm still in RJ, my mum is never going for any of these events ever again. And to think I was the one who arranged her schedule and all. So I guess I kinda brought it upon myself sigh. Anyway after all that has been said and done, I can only conclude that the world is seriously full of screwed up coincidences. Kat & Js were probably having the time of their lives laughing away, though I must admit it was kind of amusing at first when I wasn't in school yet.

Managed to catch High School Musical 3!!! Was quite awesome (as expected) and the storyline was quite sweet (as expected again). Met my family at Newton for dinner and I was the first to get there! Too obedient :D And then I stayed up till super late to talk to my mum - PTM post-mortem, or however you choose to call it.

Today was basically spent sleeping, eating and training. I'm getting my Sunday rest days back :D No school tmr!! And only one more day of school to go! Super exciting. Plus we're having a class chalet next weekend (:

You would think I'd have much more time now that Promos are over (and I wish to think that too) but it's so not working out ): Been having so many meetings recently it's not funny. There's like PW (sucks to the max), swimming, random CCAL stuff and so much catching up to do with friends! Sigh the world would be a much better place without PW.

As "Dear Diary"-ish as this may sound... CCAL conference was pretty interesting, just that I still can't get over the fact that I had to give up my supposed break for it. But at least it was free-seating so I got to sit with Alina at some point and it felt like a repeat of last year's assemblies, only (thankfully) without the suicidal 15-min long jokes. Anyway both presenters were really good and the content wasn't all that bad. Like the part about left-brainers being controlled by their mothers-in-law, right-brainers being controlled by their wives. And the ultimate no-brainer.

Went to PS with Jw after the second day of the conference and by some freaky coincidence, we found out that most of the other guys were in that vicinity as well. Anyway House Bunny was just so-so. And contrary to what Sal claims, it is not "a consolation to noobs... make you feel that you're not dumbest ppl on earth", though I have to admit it's definitely nowhere near being an intellectual show. But in my defense, it is somewhat relaxing to occasionally watch brainless stuff okay.

Went out with Chels & Yongsheng last last Monday to get Chenxuan's birthday present. We were super indecisive and kept walking back and forth across town. And then when we finally set sight on something, we kinda ran into financial trouble, but managed to pool together just enough money :D Then a few of us met the following morning at Cx's to surprise him but the slowpoke took ages to get ready for school so we all were eventually late.

Mmm and finally had lunch out with Kat after a super long time. Ate at this Japanese version of Marche at Raffles City and we had sooo much food because everything looked so appetizing. Must've stayed in there for like, 2 hours at least. But it was so good to still be able to talk about anything under the sun (: Oh yeah and we had a swim meeting last week as well which was super productive :D Okay, maybe not, but at least we're a step closer to finalizing the farewell plan. And we tried to surprise Ms Soh with a birthday card... just that it wasn't such a surprise. Oh well.

Met Jw over the weekend and we had lunch at some Chinese place again where I learnt how to use chopsticks the right way but still kinda fail at it ): Caught Burn After Reading which was super duper crappy. I never thought I'd be able to say this, but it looks like Disaster Movie has got competition. Then dropped by Bugis on the way back for some food and ran into the same group of people which we had met the last time we had dinner there. The world works in weird ways.

Have been doing quite a bit of PW over the past few days, including last Sunday (the rest day)! But I'm glad my groupmates are all equally enthusiastic about the OP and it's so convenient that 3 of us stay within walking distance of the school :D But can I say, it seriously sucks to walk to school at noon. Speaking of OP, we had our dry run today which was so horrible! Only finished at 430 and I have no idea how many breaks I took without the teacher's knowledge. The presentations weren't that boring, but having to sit in the same room for 7 hours or so is seriously no joke. Jw & Justin totally saved me by getting Yami yogurt back and, as unbelievable as it sounds, they really did rush back to school so that it wouldn't melt.

Anywayz since Promos results are gonna be released next week, I shall resolve to have as much guilt-free fun as I can now and then worry about whatever when the time comes. Can't wait for school to end & class chalet :D

Hello so I'm finally back, in true spirit of "wake me up when September ends". Anyway Promos are over!!! You wouldn't believe the kind of wreck I was in during the pre-Promos period, managed to screw up numerous papers, but what's new? Strangely enough I didn't get the same sense of euphoria this year as I had last year. But I guess last year sort of signified a real end/finality to that phase of my life and this year, well, it's far from over.

Post-Promos was super fun (and still is)! Like half the class went out for lunch together with the intention of catching a movie after. So while the rest settled on a place to eat, Chels & I went to check out the movie timings, sneaking in some much needed shopping time :D But then again, J8's no town and it doesn't exude that same kind of feeling. Mmm so the people at lunch were like Arjun, Yongsheng, Chenxuan, Chels, Xiaoxiao, Sim, Tan Joel, Qiwei, Bryan, etc. Then after lunch most of them wanted to head back to school to play ball. Why celebrate the end of Promos in school?! So while the rest went back, Cx, Chels & I caught Disaster Movie. Well I wouldn't exactly say it was a scam, because what more could I have expected from a show with a title like that? But let's just say it wasn't a very pleasant experience, with it being literally disastrous. What can I say, a once in a lifetime kind of experience? Oh well, live and learn. Met a couple of others from school, all being equally appalled by the show. Bottom line: Don't risk your life watching it.

So while trying to get over the trauma from certain scenes (evil bewitched chipmunks??), Chels & I decided to head over to Cx's (: Apart from his house being all neat and cool, I discovered my hidden talent - mini-golf! I kid you not. However easy it may appear to be, it's really not, and it is in no way related to luck. If it were my lucky day, I would've done extremely well for Physics, which so did not happen. Anyway his place was really so nice and we spent a great part of the time sitting outdoors, reflecting on life in general (I think?).

Left with Chels pretty late and I finally headed to town!!! Walked around for a bit before going over to Borders in hope of rekindling some interest for reading. The last time I had a good read was probably... The Handmaid's Tale last year. Okay honestly, I can't really remember. So anyway while I was browsing through some books, some idiot by the name of Cx tapped me from the back and gave me the biggest scare of my life. On the other hand, I'm rather thankful that I don't scream like Shuh does. Mmm then met Jw for a quick dinner since we both were pretty tired by then but still walked to lower town anyway :D

The weekend was different for once, got to spend more time with my family, and got back my Sunday rest day :D Apart from returning to training (which was insanely tiring), I kind of lazed around and did nothing constructive, unless you count watching The Hills as somewhat useful. If only life could be like this forever.

Woke up early on Monday to meet Siyi at some remote part of the island which I took an hour to reach ):< But we later relocated to the library at Bugis and, surprise surprise, ran into this guy from my class, even though my class was supposedly having a gathering at that time. But then again, I should've expected it since it was a library after all. Anyway had a super late lunch and headed home through the downpour once we were done.

Tuesday, had a Chinese lunch with Jw which admittedly wasn't that bad, just that I kept getting laughed at ): Then it poured so we took the train to upper town and caught a movie there, after which I, unfortunately, had to head off for training. So anyway that's pretty much the end of post-Promos cause there's the CCAL conference thing for 2 days and then it'll be back to school ): ): Sigh this break is seriously too short. I'd imagine life to get much better. Too much, in fact.

If you were wondering where I was for the past 18 days, it would have either been at home sleeping or in school studying. School sucks to the max now that Promos are just round the corner (like in 3 weeks!) and I'm still kinda lagging behind in every subject possible. And to add on to all the numerous tutorials, there's still PW due in about a week. I guess now should be a good time to start working 10 times harder to save myself... just that it's not happening yet ): About blogging, I don't really have much to say because things are falling into the monotonous cycle of sleep-study-eat (& train), so what's new? Okay, maybe not so monotonous because of the high stress levels (haha who am I kidding) but more of a lack of excitement. So really, my point is just that life... is overrated.

Anyway thanks to my very mundane life, the only recent highlight that I have would probably have to be that of Leeqi leaving for British Columbia, Canada. So like a couple of 9ers planned this surprise farewell party a few days before her departure, though we kind of failed at the surprise part haha. Nonetheless, I'm pretty glad we actually had it cause that was about the last time I really saw her. Haha made the running to J8 with Yen so worth it (: The fact that she's left is finally starting to sink in slowly, but December's not that far away :D Will crash her place again!

Had Teachers' Day celebrations today and you could say it was a rather momentous day for me - finally stepped into town after more than a month! Headed back to RG with Siyi after a really long and dreary morning at RJ and got to talk to a couple of teachers. Although it felt good to be back and within 500m from town, the school felt strangely empty. Not in the physical sense, but it just had a really different atmosphere from RJ. Met some of the rest who came later and we went to the SAC to attempt to study :D Didn't really accomplish much, but hey, at least it was something!

Left after a bit to meet Jw and we ran into the bball clan, i.e. Alina, Yen, Athena, Claire, etc. Some things never change, like how Siling never fails to pull my hair as some sort of greeting. And her being insanely strong makes it impossible to wrench free from her grasp (like how she nearly broke my fingers before the French EOY last year). It's memories like these (of us being innocent & naive) that will really be treasured, and not those of screwed up PTs & GPAs. So why do we even bother studying so much?! Not like grades are the things that are gonna carry us through for the rest of our lives, right? Okay sorry, am in the h8-Promos-4ever mood.

Caught Money No Enough 2, whose title really really irks me, but that's not really the point. As all movies, it had its ridiculous and senseless moments but yet at the same time it was quite a heart-rendering show. Albeit with a very typical Jack Neo storyline and too much usage of colloquial language (including dialects) which I couldn't comprehend at all. Had training after and it included an hour-long swim set ): Totally sucks to the max that it is becoming a routine ):

Back to school again tomorrow for a swim meeting. Then might study my afternoon away if I'm not too tired :D Oh right and I almost forgot, this marks the start of the lousiest holiday ever. Grounded, and have to study, which I probably won't be doing much of so I'm gonna start preparing myself with some kind of skill to ease off the guilt once the reality of Term 4 hits me smack bang in the face. Haha, kidding (I hope). On a very random note, I miss towning!!!

Just got back from the polo trip last night. Super duper tired, feels like I'm suffering from a terrible hangover ): But I had so much fun! It was too short though ): Hope I get to go for Betawi at the end of the year :D Will be so awesome.

Left the pool at around 6 and arrived at the hotel really late on Friday night, then Jac had a shower and went to bed early ): So ended up hanging out at Shaun's playing card games and watching the Grammys haha. And his failed attempt to jump on me almost led to his death lol. Went to bed at like 230am even though I didn't sleep at all on the way.

Got up early on Saturday ): Jac & I were one of the later ones at breakfast cause the clock in our room was misleading. Headed off to the pool for 2 games. The weather sucked cause it was really burning and lots of people got sun burnt. Lucky for me, I never get sun burnt :D And some of them got a cap tan line on their foreheads haha. The seniors played really well and the juniors did a great job as well (: Sighz missed so many shots though. But what can I say except for that the keeper had super long arms! So not kidding you.

Back to the hotel after the games for a shower before leaving for the shops!!! Walked around the mall with most of the juniors + Suzanne's bro & Shaun. Didn't really buy much though some of them went nuts with shopping and checked out every single store. Shaun & I pretty much just looked for benches to rest on. Heh then all of us stuffed ourselves full with pretzels :D After a long while of waiting for the rest to shop, finally got to eat at Nando's!

Mmm then met up with the rest of the team, before going to Chinatown. Didn't buy much except for chewing gum for my bro lol. Then cabbed back to the hotel after much walking. Hung out in Dior & Rachel's room to have iced Milo and to play random word games. Oh yeah, and to watch a dance performance. Then went out for a walk outside with Shaun but the place at night was kinda dodgy so we went back pretty quickly. Hung out at his room since Jac was asleep by the time I got back from the walk and I didn't wanna wake her up. Scrolled through close to 700 songs despite the major fatigue. Headed back to my room at like 330am and we made so much noise along the way oops. Oh and I think James fell asleep in the bath cause he didn't respond when I said goodnight haha.

Woke up on Sunday at 7 because they screwed up the wake-up call which was supposed to be at 730 ): Anywayz packed my stuff before Jac woke up, then when she did, we just sat in our beds and talked about the previous day's games for half an hour before Shaun came over and we realized that we were running late. Had breakfast and then played our only game for the day feeling really stuffed from breakfast and without warming up. Got punched once and pulled multiple times ): But we played well in the last quarter :D The juniors are awesome (:

Watched the seniors' game after that, then En, Angeline, Dyan & I headed back to the bus to sleep while the rest stayed back to play an extra game. Had a good sleep before stopping over for a crappy lunch at this super dodgy place. Headed back home after that! Slept for a bit but woke up later only to find that my neck was aching like mad so I couldn't really sleep ): Got home and promptly fell asleep haha. All in all, it was a really really enjoyable trip and I hope we have another similar trip at the end of the year :D Gonna miss all the fun nights and bus rides though ): Sigh now it's really time to get back to school.

Can I just say, it sucks to be grounded for an indefinite period of time!!! Thanks to the late nights (or early mornings?) from PW, my parents are now convinced that I'm way behind in my schoolwork (which I am oops). Pre-Olympics totally killed me ): But still gotta say, it was worth it :D As I recall, I've only ever wanted to go to school to have fun and studying was never one of my top priorities. Guess that'll have to change soon ):

Anywayz went back to school on Tues afternoon for Physics Mock SPA make-up with Chels & Yongsheng, then we hung out at the canteen talking about... High School Musical on Ice :D And enlightened them with tales of a certain ex-classmate who has since disappeared from the faces of the Earth. Got home and had so much PW to do ): ): The electricity got cut off at 11 for some unknown reason so I had nothing to do for like 2 hours until my dad connected the computer to the main power supply. Ended up going to bed super late sighz.

Wednesday was crappy because I woke up late and Chem prac was converted to a double tutorial block ): But had this quiz so time passed rather quickly. Oh and I was busy copying Chem notes lol. PW was cool since the teacher wasn't there :D And some of the guys entertained themselves with a mini turtle which they'd found by playing baseball with it, i.e. pitch the turtle and use a bottle to whack it. Just in case you were wondering, it wasn't a real turtle. So after PE, Chels, Sim, Toan, Shiyang & I went over to the ISH to play badminton :D Super fun, we should do it again!

Then was supposed to have early training so Jw & I walked to the pool only to find that the pool was reserved for two synchronized swimmers from Austria ): So the RJ guys ended up having to swim in the big pool while I went across the road to eat with my sis & Angeline (who were also scammed into coming early) and some others like Shaun, Samuel, Chuanyu, etc. Gave Chuanyu the autographed Ma Huanhuan's tag and Shaun totally kicked me after that ): Anyway had training till super late and then had a pre-trip briefing. Wanted to eat but Brandon had stolen all my food after his training ):< So only got home at 10+ and I think I pretty much fell asleep right after dinner.

Yesterday was really fun cause it was a short day :D Had handball elective for PE but we got released for break really really late so I ended up having no break at all and had to rush right off for GP ): But it's okay, there's only one more elective block left, making my attendance a grand total of 3 (out of 7). After assembly, both Chels & Ys had stuff on so Chenxuan & I went around in search of food at the National Day booths. Got a crepe which was pretty good (: Then Cx joined his fellow councillors and I went to watch IHC captain's ball. MT was super good with Jiahao on defence!

Anyway walked around for a bit before having to go over to the track for my 4x400 relay. Only got to know who my teammates were right before the event and they were all J2s except for me. Felt like dropping dead towards the end when I had already been sprinting for 150m. Okay, just kidding. But I was really really tired and my strides felt like crap haha. Nonetheless, quite glad that my team came first for our heat :D Supposed to have Inter-CCA relay but they cancelled all the events after the girls' 4x400 due to the lightning hazard. Rushed off to have a quick shower before having to go off for Promethean where we camwhored like mad since there was simply nothing to do. Then it started storming so everything got relocated to the MPH which wasn't too bad. The light sticks were awesome and I liked the performances :D Headed out for dinner after community singing. Can't believe I missed out on the jumping parts though!

So that more or less sums up my very short week of school but I'm not counting on the next few weeks to be anywhere close to being fun. Just wanna get things back on track as soon as possible. So little time, so much to do ): This sucks so much. Can't wait for school to be over!! Leaving tonight for another weekend of fun with the poloers. Don't expect to do much work, but hopefully I'll be able to do something at the very least. Made a bet with Shaun and I'm so gonna win it!

Never thought I'd ever say this but, I miss my LO job so so much! Darn wish my team hadn't been the first to leave ): A part of me feels kinda empty, like I've got nothing to look forward to everyday. There's no excitement in my life ): And I actually became friends with some of the players towards the end :D I guess one of the greatest satisfactions was receiving thanks from the team officials & players just before they left and that was when I realized that all the small things I did for them didn't go unappreciated, from keeping cones to carrying slippers :D

So things got better once the tournament started. Spent the whole of Fri, Sat & Sun at the Sports School running errands here and there before my team arrived. Some of the useless guys came so late (they so know who they are!!) that I had to carry super heavy boxes around, resulting in aching arms ): But thanks so much to Shaun & Kaiyu for their lifts in the morning so I could finally wake up past 6 (: The games were so good to watch, with the awesomest goals being scored and the awesomest saves being made. Also, it was pretty cool having all the Singapore poloers congregated at one place. Kind of reminded me how swimming nationals used to be like at Toa Payoh (this year's wasn't that great).

There's so much to say, so much worth remembering, but I can't possibly type everything out ): But as usual, the highlight of the entire tournament was probably the company - all the LOs, Shaun, Alvin Poh, the RJ guys, etc. The LOs are seriously the bestest group to be with, we have so much fun (complaining) together and I wouldn't choose to have it any other way. Owe Shaun lots & lots for all his lifts and breakfast and everything else (what am I gonna do when he leaves for NS haha). Alvin Poh helped me in making friends with the Chinese players even though he suanned me at every opportunity he got. But he suanned the players like mad too so dinner was so entertaining with him around :D For the RJ guys, well nothing much has to be said about them. They're the most nonsensical bunch, and can I say Brandon got told off for letting a little kid get past him (fails at security).

I've got to say, this experience has been one of the greatest ones in my life. Though I regretted being an LO at some points, everything turned out for the better in the end and that's something I'm really grateful for. The farewell dinner was pretty short, but post-dinner back at the hotel was really enjoyable when all the LOs took over the headquarters and passed mini polo balls around :D So this kinda marks the end of my stint as an LO ): ): Back to school again tomorrow. Sucks to the max, can't even imagine how much work I've got to catch up on. But I'm thinking this was totally worth it :D

Half of Pre-Olympics is gone and I can't wait for it to be over! Working sucks to the max, especially when they take away all your privileges. The LO job seriously sucks now but can't quit or we'll get blacklisted or something ): But well at least we get to watch some games. Anywayz working life sucks having to get up at 6 (a whole hour earlier than school!) and getting home at 11 or 12. Hardly even get any breaks in between cause have to run errands during my break. But apart from getting headaches from trying to reorganize schedules, I've been having quite a lot of fun. So can't wait to get out of school.

Had to go to the airport on Sunday night to welcome the team, but ended up going like 2 hours early cause some guy wanted to talk to me. Sigh ended up going to the viewing gallery to pass time. But managed to get a lift home from Renkai anyway so got home by midnight. Monday was pretty easy cause no other team had arrived yet so all the officials were helping us out. Had dinner with Yiwen & one of the team officials and all I ate was sashimi and raw seafood hahaha. Everything else was like local fare ):

Then Greece came on Tuesday and there were some complications and stuff but they weren't that hard to settle. Still super tiring though. Had supper with Shaun after dinner then he sent me back. Wednesday was the worst day zomg. Australia came and there were so many complications and stuff. How annoying ): And at the end of the day, the LOs got dumped with a list of what we can't do anymore. They're super mean to us ): So most of us pretty much hate the job now. Anyway headed over to Woodlands to meet some others for dinner since our dinner at the hotel got cancelled. Ended up having dinner at 10 with Jw, Shaun, Chuanyu & James at Newton before getting a lift home from Shaun again :D

Went to school on Thursday in the morning for Chem prac which wasn't that useful but oh well at least I showed my face once this week. But right after that, Shaun picked me up and we went to Sports School which is almost 100 miles away. Watched the Italy vs. Croatia game where Enyuan joined us late. Helped to clear up the pool after everything, then Shaun, En & I went over the ACS to watch the teams train (and to eat). Decided to head back to RJ after since we weren't hungry yet. Saw Kat & Jing walking out of school super late lol. But it was quite funny seeing Kat try to find me :D So met Jw while Shaun found some other people to talk to. Left for the pool at 730, had dinner, got home early at around 10.

Anywayz today's Day 5 and I've gotta head to the Sports School in 10 min. Shucks just got 2 missed calls from the lunch people. I swear I can never get a proper break. Someone even contacted me at midnight to confirm some arrangements. Thankfully wasn't asleep yet. So need to get my life back on track next week/over the Nat Day hols.
